BANGALORE: Two persons, who were duping people on the pretext of exchanging US dollars for Indian rupees at lower prices, were arrested by the sleuths of the Fraud and Misappropriation Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) near a masjid in N S Garden in S J Park police station limits on Wednesday.
Their modusoperandi was to keep 34 original currencies on top of the wad and make it appear like a full wad of US dollars. But, apart from the 34 notes on the top , the remaining were just cuttings of white papers and news prints.

According to the police, they approached people and showed them the wads of US dollars and convinced them that they had original currencies.

The accused have been identified as Shafia (31) and Mustafa (22), both natives of Kishan Ganj in Bihar.

S J Park police are investigating the case.
