Community should protect forests: DFO

VELLORE: On Wednesday, the district forest department marked the World Forest Day by distributing free saplings at the TPGIT campus. District forest officer, T V Manjunatha underlined the need for the locals’ support in protecting forest wealth, containing fire, sharing information about poachers and informing the forest officials about the movement of the wild animals.
