CM for widening of NH-60

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has sought more funds to expedite construction of highways in the State.Union Secretary for Road Transport and Highways AK Upadhyaya on Tuesday met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and discussed several issues relating to highway development in the State. The Government demanded an increase in the number of vents on NH-60 and the highway widened to 1,500 metres.Other issues discussed include provision of more funds for repair of highways, restoration in the flood-affected areas and construction of bypasses in seven towns.The Chief Minister underscored the need for construction of more trauma cares and opening of three more driving schools in the State. Secretaries of Panchayati Raj Commerce and Transport and Works departments attended.
