HYDERABAD: All-India Congress Committee general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday dropped hints that Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi may not be accommodated in the Union cabinet in the next round of reshuffle.Chiranjeevi will have to wait for some more time to become an MP and then only he would be inducted in the Union Cabinet, Azad reportedly informed Chiranjeevi. He met Chiranjeevi at his residence along with APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana and deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarsimha.Speaking to reporters later, Azad said that Prime Minister could only give a correct reply when Chiranjeevi would be inducted in the Union Cabinet.Azad said the Congress and the PRP were now one as the merger was formalised.'Only a public meeting to confirm the merger is pending. Chiranjeevi, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana and chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will decide on the time and venue for this," he said."If Chiranjeevi wanted a berth in the Union Cabinet, he should become an MP first. That is not possible now and he should wait for another one year to get Rajya Sabha seat because there are no elections for Rajya Sabha in the near future,' Azad said."We will accommodate new and old faces whenever State cabinet expansion takes place," Azad said.
