HYDERABAD: Asserting that Wednesday’s statement made by Union home minister P Chidambaram once again inviting all political parties in the state to a meeting on the contentious Telangana issue is “100 percent correct”, transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana has said the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre will finally take ‘some decision’ after giving an opportunity to political parties concerned to express their opinions. “Even a judge in a court does not deliver a final judgement immediately when a dispute comes before him. He will postpone hearing to allow the parties to rethink and change their views if warranted,” he told reporters on the Assembly premises on Thursday. The minister claimed that the Congress had already made its views clear, stating that a decision on the party’s and the Centre’s stands would be taken after hearing the opinions of all other parties concerned. The TDP, the main opposition party, got the responsibility of defining its stand instead of blaming the ruling party, he said.“Telangana is not a small issue. As the issue is sensitive, the Centre will announce its decision after taking all parties views in order to ensure there is not any law and order problem. The TDP can express a fresh opinion or should reiterate what it had said at the all-party meeting convened by the then chief minister K Rosaiah on December 7, 2009.”Replying to a query, the minister made it clear that there was no need for his party to seek a trust vote in the Assembly since it had absolute majority.
