Mumbai: After outperforming Bollywood at the box-office in recent times, Bhojpuri films have stolen the show yet again.
Now it's superstar Amitabh Bachchan who's making his debut in Bhojpuri films with his make-up man Deepak Sawant's first film.
After 35 years of adding the glamour brush on the icons expressive face Sawant's dream is finally taking shape in Mumbai as he works on the sequences of his Bhojpuri film Ganga.
It's on his request that Big B finally decided to make a debut in a Bhojpuri film, which the actor will start shooting early next month.
"I gave him the script and I guess he likes it. When he said yes, I felt very good. With Amitji, the film has more energy now," Sawant said.
Apart from the Bhojpuri hit pair - superstar Ravi Kissen and actress Nagma, Sawant's Ganga will also star actress Hema Malini in a guest appearance.
The star-cast of the film is confident that given the Big B factor in Ganga, this will be their biggest hit ever.
"I m very excited Amitji is making his debut in Bhojpuri films. It's the biggest thing for Bhojpuri film audience which accounts for 34 per cent cinegoers in this country," Kissen said.
"It's going to be the most memorable film I have ever done and of course Amitji plays a big role in the film," Nagma said.
Cashing in on the mass rage of Bhojpuri films and Amitabh Bachchan, Sawant has clearly worked on the foundation well to have roped in a winner.
Its boom time for Bhojpuri films as increasing number of Bollywood biggies enter the Bhojpuri film industry, and this what can be called - making hay while the sun shines.
