Mumbai: A day after his office was terrorised by an unidentified gunman, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said on Thursday that he was clueless about the reason behind the attack.
Small time gangster Ravi Pujari had later claimed responsibility for the incident.
"I have been asked by my family and friends after what happened, to tone down and be less vociferous about my work with the minority community, but I refuse to do so," Bhatt said.
"If this attack was intended to plant the seeds of fear in me it has failed," Bhatt added.
The filmmaker said that he had been told that this attack may also have occurred because some people wanted him to distance himself from the minority community.
Though work went on as usual at the office where the incident had taken place on Wednesday, a group of policemen kept a close watch over every visitor.
