BHUBANESWAR: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a public notice warning people against investing in a non-banking financial institution (NBFI) called Forex Achievements. No company or entity by the name of Forex Achievements is registered under the Companies Act, 1956, which is a prerequisite for getting certificate of registration (CoR) from the RBI. The CoR bearing Regd No 07.00410 dated April 7, 2010, displayed by the entity on its website is a fabricated one. “Members of the public are hereby cautioned not to deposit money with such incorporated bodies. Before making investment in a non-banking entity, the public is advised to visit the RBI website to check their validity status,” the release said. The names of registered companies are available on NBFC list page in the RBI website - www.rbi.org.in.
