At least 86 people tested positive for drug consumption on Wednesday at a recent rave party held on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The raid has sparked controversy due to reports confirming rampant drug use among the attendees.

The rave party, which was raided by the Anti-Narcotics Division of Karnataka Police earlier this week, was attended by 73 were men while 30 were women, including two Telugu actors.

Notably, 59 out of 73 men and 27 out of 30 young women tested positive for drug consumption, who indulged in substances such as MDMA, cocaine, and hydro ganja, as confirmed by post-party blood tests indicating widespread substance abuse during the gathering.

Telugu actors Hema and Ashi Roy were among the attendees whose blood tests returned positive for drug use after the rave party.

The blood samples of the guests of a rave party busted at a farmhouse in Bengaluru were sent to a laboratory for testing, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda said on Tuesday.

Over 100 people attended the party and of them, five people have been arrested so far.

Various types of drugs were also seized, he said adding several attendees were from outside Karnataka.

The event conducted between 5 pm (May 18 ) and 6 am (May 19) was said to be a birthday party organised by Hyderabad-based person Vasu.

A pass belonging to an MLA from Andhra Pradesh was found in a car parked at the venue. Additionally, more than 15 luxury cars were also parked on the premises.

The party was estimated to cost Rs 50 lakh a day, sources said. A case has been filed at the Electronic City Police Station.
