Bali: Underworld don Chhota Rajan is likely to be brought to India on Thursday night or Friday morning as Bali has opened its airspace. Rajan's dep airspace was closed due to volcanic activity since Tuesday.
The Indian Embassy is trying for earliest air slot to fly but there might be a delay due to pending commercial flights.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, "Chhota Rajan will come soon."
According to the sources, Rajan will be sent to India from Bali on a special flight.
Sources had suggested that the first agency that will question the gangster post his arrival in India is the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). CBI officials are likely to escort Rajan from Delhi IGI airport to the CBI headquarters in the national capital where he is expected to be questioned.
Following the questioning, Rajan is likely to be shifted to a special cell of the Delhi Police.
Rajan, who was arrested in Bali on his arrival from Australia on October 25, is wanted in over 75 heinous crimes ranging from murder, extortion to smuggling and drug trafficking.
Rajan was arrested in Bali on the basis of a Red Corner Notice from Interpol and following a tip off by Australian authorities to the police in Indonesia.
