KOCHI: A proper awareness about intellectual property rights is as important as awareness about land property rights, said Raju Narayana Swamy, secretary, Department of Youth Affairs. He was speaking at a seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), organised by the Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies (RCBS). He pointed out that awareness about intellectual property rights helps an individual to avoid frauds and also acts as a guiding force to respect intellectual properties of others. He also referred to the decisions taken by the Indian judiciary on cases related to intellectual property rights. Laws related to IPR, if implemented properly, will help in the development of the nation.Interacting with the management students, Raju Narayana Swamy exhorted them to dream big and to work hard to achieve those dreams. Joseph Injodey, principal, Rajagiri College presided over the function.
