Attacks on India an attempt by Pakistan Army to derail talks: Sources
The incident comes just days after PM Modi held bilateral talks with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Russia.

Even as the governments of India and Pakistan are working towards building normalising ties between the two countries, pressure groups and Army including the ISI seem to be putting pressure on the Nawaz Sharif government not to go ahead with talks.

Sources in the Indian government say that the attacks by Pakistan are not a coincidence but a deliberate attempt to derail the peace process. India has maintained that its border forces have only fired in retaliation and Pakistan is killing civilians in India for no reasons.

Sources also say that the Prime Ministers of both the neighbouring countries have spoken and are committed to work towards the peace process. The NSA level talks that were proposed by both the PMs during their meeting in Ufa in Russia will happen despite the disturbances along the border, say sources.

Meanwhile, amid the ongoing tussle over a drone plane that was shot down by Pakistan Army, both the countries have summoned each other's envoys seeking details of the incident.

India has denied any connection with the drone that was shot down by Pakistan. Intelligence sources claimed that the drone in the picture is a Chinese made DJI Phantom 3, and that India doesn't buy any drones from China. Terming it as a bizarre claim by Pakistan, sources said that India would respond through appropriate diplomatic channels.

Pakistan Army had claimed it shot down the drone in the Bhimber area of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Pakistani Army has alleged the drone was being used for aerial photography near the Line of Control (LoC).

The incident comes just days after Modi held bilateral talks with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Russia.
