New Delhi: Asus has launched the PadFone Mini (PF400CG), a smartphone-cum-tablet hybrid, in India at a price of Rs 15,999. Asus says the PadFone Mini saves the hassle of having to carry two permanently-separated devices. It has a combined weight of 376g.

PadFone Mini comes with a total battery capacity of 3270mAh. The tablet even charges the PadFone Mini smartphone when docked.

The hybrid device, powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor that runs at 1.6GHz, has 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that enables storage to be upgraded by up to 64GB.

Asus DynamicDisplay technology automatically resizes apps for the different display sizes. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device comes with a concentric-circle design detail that's become a part of the Asus brand.

PadFone Mini includes dual-SIM support, allowing you to have one device for your personal and work needs.

Both the 4-inch (800x480 pixels) and 7-inch (1280x800 pixels) displays use IPS+ (in-plane switching) technology.

Its PixelMaster's Low-Light Mode is claimed to measure the available light and adjust the pixel size to increase light sensitivity by up to 400 per cent. It can also capture 1080p videos, says Asus.

It comes in five colour choices.
