CHENNAI: The government has formed a five-member panel to hold talks with the providers of the pay channels which are not available in the bouquet of channels offered by Arasu Cable Network.The committee will comprise the Chairman, Arasu Cable TV, its Managing Director, Finance (Expenditure) Secretary, IT Secretary and Home Secretary.  The panel is expected to complete the talks with pay channels within a couple of weeks so that the public could view their popular channels through the Arasu Cable TV.  One more expert in the field may be appointed to the panel soon. Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa launched the services of Arasu Cable TV network on September 2 and more than 95 per cent of the cable TV operators in the State, who have 1.45 crore connections, have registered themselves with the Arasu Cable TV.
