HYDERABAD: A day after former Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation managing director BP Acharya was questioned by CBI officials, a former APIIC advisor was summoned to the CBI office for questioning on Saturday. Parthasarathi, the former advisor of APIIC, was one of the key persons alleged to have played an active role in the deal between APIIC and Emaar. Following the High Court order for a probe into the tainted deal, CBI began questioning all persons associated with the deal. Parthasarathi is a relative of a former advisor to the state government. Sources in the CBI said that APIIC chief general manager VVS Prasad was also questioned and several files were verified and seized on Saturday.  A senior Mines department official Rafi, who was questioned on Friday, was called again for further questioning.  Meanwhile, in response to notices given by CBI officials, representatives of Axis Laboratories, Pioneer Infra appeared before CBI officials and disclosed information sought by the investigating authorities.  With just three days left to accomplish the task assigned by the court, CBI officials are racing against time to complete the preliminary probe.  Meanwhile, senior IAS officer BP Acharya, referring to a report in these columns on Friday, claimed he never mentioned that the equity of APIIC was diluted.  He cited a certificate from the Registrar of Companies to prove that the equity of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd continued at 26 per cent even after the development agreement with Emaar-MGF.
