Anbazhagan permitted to attend Assembly

CHENNAI: Chepauk Assembly constituency MLA J Anbazhagan of the DMK, who was arrested in connection with a land grabbing case in Tirupur and lodged in the Central Prison in Coimbatore, was permitted by the Madras High Court to attend the ongoing Assembly proceedings.Justice G Rajasuriya said that Anbazhagan should be brought from the Coimbatore prison to Chennai Central prison in Puzhal forthwith.  The Puzhal jail authorities should make necessary arrangements for escorting him to attend the Assembly session and taking him back to the jail, until further orders. They should be bound by remand orders passed by the Magistrate, the judge added.
