Advance bail for Udhayanidhi Stalin

CHENNAI: Udhayanidhi (33), son of former Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, who apprehended arrest in a land grabbing case, was granted advance bail by the Madras High Court on Wednesday. Justice S Palanivelu, who was inclined to grant the relief, said that there was no likelihood of Udhayanidhi tampering or hampering with the witnesses and evidence. Hence, he could be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for Rs 10,000 with two sureties each for a like sum. He should appear before the Teynampet police daily at 10 am for four weeks and thereafter as and when required, the judge added.Following a complaint from businessman N S Seshadri Kumar, the Teynampet police registered a case against Udhayanidhi and his associate Rajasankar.
