A sarpanch (village head) was on Tuesday arrested by the anti-corruption bureau for accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Nagaur district of the state.
Ganesharam, sarpanch of Parewadi village, was held following complain by a contractor, who had accused him demanding bribe for clearing payments for the construction of a road, said Smita Srivastava, IG (ACB), said.
Based on the complaint, police laid a trap and Ganesharam was caught red-handed, she said.
