CHENNAI: If you are not in school, 16 years or above and have passed Class Eight, you are eligible to take a vocational course to help you find a promising career for the future. IGNOU, in association with the Indian Society of Technical Education, has announced admission to certificate in skill development courses in Automobile Basic Function & Maintenance, Automobile Tinkering, Automobile Painting Works, and Automobile Electrical Works. Each course lasts six-months and costs Rs 4,500. The Universal Sevak University Trust provides specialised education, fetching immediate jobs for early school dropouts.
