Accused no. 23 Shaikh - who parked an RDX-laden scooter at Naigaum in Dadar (which did not explode on March 12 1993) - was found guilty of conspiracy, abetment of terrorism, attempt to murder and throwing RDX at the Sahar Airport.

Barmare, the ccused no. 49, has been charged with conspiracy (training in Pakistan) and filling RDX in the vehicle.

He lobbed the grenade with Barmare at Bay 54 in the international airport, where workers were engaged in service and aeroplanes were parked. However, no one was injured.

Shaikh is also charged with conspiracy, obtaining weapons training at Borghat and Sandheri in Raigad district, attending conspiracy meetings at the residences of co-accused Babloo and Mubina and filling RDX in vehicles in the garages of Tiger Memon on the eve of the serial blasts.

Both accused had gone to Sahar international airport on a scooter registered in the name of Tiger Memon's father Abdul Razak Memon.

Shaikh was driving while Nasim on the pillion seat threw hand grenades from the flyover at Bay number 54 of the airport. However, the hand grenades did not explode and there was no loss of lives or damage to property.
