Hyderabad’s Pigeons Turn Pirates To Steal Grains From Moving Truck

The pigeons in Hyderabad are a “force to be reckoned with” and this viral footage has become a testimony to it. A gang of the birds launching an attack on sacks of grains carried on a moving truck has earned them multiple titles including “Pirates of Hyderabad” and “Gangs of Guturgu.” The incident in question caught the attention of an Instagram user while she was commuting in the city. The youngster was so amused and fascinated by the visuals that she didn’t shy away from sharing it online unbeknownst to the response it would eventually generate.

The video opens with the poker face of the Instagram user alongside an inline caption that reads, “Things you only see in India.” As viewers await what’s about to happen next, the camera transitions to the busy streets of Hyderabad. An open mini-truck filled with sacks of food grains maneuvers through the hustle and bustle of traffic. But it is also carrying a cluster of pigeons hovering over the grains. Most of the birds can be seen seated on tops of the sacks, poking their beaks inside to enjoy a feast. Some of the pigeons hover around to find a suitable place to gain access inside the food sacks.

If the video is anything to go by, it seems the birds couldn’t be less chirpy with the look splayed in front of them. “Hyderabad pigeons are a class apart,” the Instagram user captioned the short video before sharing it online. Catch a glimpse of the visuals here:

As soon as the clip surfaced online, it left a barrage of amused, some of them also came up with funny nicknames for their food heist. From “Attack on ration” to “Grain theft auto unlocked” the funny titles didn’t seem to come to an end. In addition to this, the comment section was also filled with hilarious imaginary dialogues. A user wrote, “Customer: What do you mean you can’t identify the thief? Driver: Kaise bolu isse ki (How do I tell him), they all look the same.” Another hailed it as the “Dhoom franchise Pigeon edition.” One more added, “Pigeons be like: Modern problems require modern solutions.” Meanwhile, a user highlighted, “Bro Hyderabad pigeons are like one whole mass gang only.” If that wasn’t enough, a user also joked, “They found the loophole in the system.”

The video of the attack of pigeons has been viewed by more than 1.2 million users on Instagram.
