Cardiff: Cardiff moved off the bottom of the English Premier League table with a 2-1 win over Norwich on Saturday. The first win for new coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Cardiff's first league win in eight games, featured new signings Wilfried Zaha and Kenwyne Jones.

After Norwich scored in the fifth minute through Robert Snodgrass, Cardiff replied in the second half. Zaha, introduced just before halftime, made his mark soon after the interval when he intercepted a Norwich pass across the box and set up Craig Bellamy to become the first player to score for seven Premier League teams.

In Liverpool, Late goals from Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas helped Everton bounce back from their Merseyside derby drubbing with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa. Coming off a 4-0 loss at Liverpool on Tuesday, Everton went behind again when Leandro Bacuna scored for Villa in the 34th minute.

But Everton ramped up the pressure in the second half and Naismith equalized in the 74th, only four minutes after coming on as a substitute. Mirallas then secured the win with a stunning free kick in the 85th to get Everton's top-four challenge back on track. Everton leapfrogged Tottenham into fifth as Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw at Hull.

In another match, Southampton scored three second-half goals in 11 minutes to beat Fulham 3-0 Premier League.

Adam Lallana made it 1-0 in the 64th, quickly followed by Rickie Lambert in the 70th and Jay Rodriguez five minutes later as the hosts collapsed at Craven Cottage. Fulham goes bottom of the league with 19 points from 24 games. Stoke is mid table with 25 from 24.
