An upset defeat at the hands of Real Sociedad followed shake-ups in Barcelona's administrative block and now talks of Lionel Messi's possible exit have made the Catalan club a touch nervous about 'what next'.
As soon as Messi pressed the 'Follow Chelsea FC' button on Instagram, rumour mills went into overtime mode fuelling murmurs about the Argentine star's possible move to England at Stamford Bridge.
The development came after the club fired its director Andoni Zubizarreta and Carles Puyol resigned in anger soon after. The Spanish giants, thus, will hope it doesn't get any worse.
But with the financial fair play regulations getting stringent, it's highly unlikely that such a high-profile transfer will take place. Meanwhile, 'The Manchester Evening News' has also reported Manchester City's interest in Messi.
Other than Chelsea FC, Messi also followed Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis on Instagram.
