Manchester: Shinji Kagawa scored a hat-trick on Saturday as Manchester United kept their firm grip on the Premier League title with a 4-0 win over Norwich at Old Trafford.

West Ham beat Stoke 1-0 to end a run of five straight Premier League away losses as substitute Jack Collison's strike secured the win. Hammers defender James Collins' header clipped the bar in the first half at the Britannia Stadium before Collison scored in stoppage time to put West Ham ahead at the interval.
Collison finished on the turn after collecting a through ball from fellow substitute Ricardo Vaz Te. Referee Jonathan Moss dismissed the hosts' protests that Guy Demel had handled in the area. Last-place Queens Park Rangers boosted their hopes of surviving relegation from the Premier League by beating Southampton 2-1 on Saturday, giving manager Harry Redknapp the perfect 66th birthday present. Jay Bothroyd, recently returned from a spell on loan at second-tier Sheffield on Wednesday, scored the winning goal in the 77th minute to secure only QPR's second away victory of the campaign.
The London club closed the gap to next-to-last Reading to three points with 10 matches remaining and is now within touching distance of escaping the bottom three. Loic Remy put QPR ahead in the 14th only for Gaston Ramirez to equalize on the stroke of halftime for Southampton, which stays fifth from bottom.
Everton stayed in the hunt for a Champions League spot by beating struggling Reading 3-1 on Saturday in the Premier League. Marouane Fellaini headed the hosts ahead with his 12th goal of the season late in an evenly-fought first half, and Everton then dominated after the break. Steven Pienaar doubled the lead with a stunning long-range strike and Kevin Mirallas made it 3-0 before Hal Robson-Kanu grabbed a consolation. The loss left Reading in the relegation zone and just three points ahead of last-place Queens Park Rangers.
Everton are sixth, six points behind fourth-place Tottenham ahead of Spurs game against Arsenal on Sunday.
