In a bid to enhance healthcare services in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district, the government approved the recruitment of 20 specialist doctors at the divisional hospital. This decision comes in response to the growing demand for medical professionals, exacerbated by recent resignations due to the establishment of new medical colleges in Jaunpur and Chandauli.
The vacancies include six positions in emergency medicine, three in general medicine, and others in specialised fields such as radiology, anesthesia, community medicine, ENT, forensic medicine, pharmacology, microbiology, TV chest, ophthalmology, and pathology. The appointments would be made on a contractual basis.
Dr Vishwajit Das, Principal of Mirzapur Medical College, confirmed that the recruitment process would commence with immediate effect, with the first round of interviews scheduled for Tuesday, July 23. Subsequent interviews will continue until all positions are filled. Candidates are required to bring their original educational certificates, experience records, and reservation certificates for the interview.
The recruitment drive aims to address the current shortage of doctors in the divisional hospital, with provisions for reservation as follows: 12 posts for General category, 5 for OBC, 2 for SC, and 1 for EWS. Applicants must be under 40 years of age, and no pension or bonus benefits will be provided during the contractual tenure.
