The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has launched the e-Masters Program in Data Science for Decision Making (DSDM). This program represents an initiative to bridge the gap between data science prowess and the art of making strategic decisions. The duration of the Data Science for Decision Making course is two years and the first batch of this program will commence in May 2024. It is important to note that the GATE score is not required for admission to IIT Gandhinagar.
Talking about the admission process, the selection of the candidates is based on academic and professional background and interviews. If required, a written test may complement the selection process, the institution stated.
IIT Gandhinagar Data Science Course: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics as a subject. They should also possess a graduate degree with a minimum of 60 per cent marks or 6.0/10 CPI in relevant fields such as Mathematics/ Statistics/ Engineering/ Computer Science/ Science/ Technology/ Economics/ and Commerce.
IIT Gandhinagar Data Science Course: Fee Structure
Students need to pay an application fee of Rs 1000 during application submission. Other than this, the course fee is Rs 8,25,000 and the breakdown of the fee structure for candidates opting to complete the program is as follows:
Registration Fee (To be paid within two weeks of the selection): Rs 1,50,000
Tuition Fee (To be paid at the beginning of every module):
Module 1: Rs 2,00,000
Module 2: Rs 1,75,000
Module 3: Rs 1,50,000
Module 4: Rs 1,50,000
