The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) of the Government of Delhi issued a circular on March 11 notifying all government and government-aided schools in the national capital about the annual school calendar for the academic year 2024-25. The 2025– 2026 academic session begins on April 1, 2025, as per the circular. The Delhi school annual calendar 2024-25 was prepared following a discussion on the procedures of the admission process for 2024-25 on February 1.
On February 1, all deputy directors of education and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) collaborated to create the Delhi school annual calendar. It directed all school principals to guarantee that the 220 working days were accomplished before declaring holidays and academic semesters/sessions.
As per the school calendar 2024 for Delhi, summer vacation will start on May 11 and end on June 30. However, the school teachers will be working from June 28 to June 30, 2024. In addition, the autumn break will be from October 9 to October 11, and the winter holiday is scheduled from January 1 to January 15, 2025.
Delhi School Nursery Admission Schedule 2024
The Nursery and KG/First Class (Entry Class) admissions process for the 2024-2025 school year began on March 3 and will end on March 15, 2024.

–– Deadline for submission of filled in application: March 15, 2024.
–– Start of admission process: March 23 to April 1, 2024.
–– Admission of children placed in waiting list (if seat left vacant): April 2 to April 6, 2024.
Delhi School Class 6 to 9 Admission Schedule 2024
The online registration process for classes 6–9 will be divided into three phases. The “plan admission” phase is set to run from April 1 to May 10, 2024, with the “non-plan admission” phase taking place in three cycles.
The Department of Education has asked school heads to submit Class 9 admissions applications received between 20 and July 26, 2024, to the respective Deputy Director of Education (Zone) by July 27, 2024 following document verification.
In addition, admissions under the RTE Act for classes 6 to 8 will be available at the Head of School level throughout the year. Those interested should see the official schedule for non-plan admissions to classes 6–9.
Delhi School Class 10 to 12 Admission Schedule 2024
Interested students are advised to explore the non-plan admission process for Classes 10 through 12 for the 2024-25 academic year. Meanwhile, the admissions process for Class 11 will begin after the Class 10 results for the academic year 2023-24 are released.
