The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of the much-anticipated Class 12 results today, May 13. Students can now check their marksheets on the official CBSE website— results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. The overall pass percentage recorded this year is 87.98 per cent which is a 0.65 per cent rise from last year’s 87.33 per cent. CBSE will issue the merit certificate to top 0.1 per cent of students who have scored the highest marks. The Toppers list will not be released to avoid unhealthy competition. CBSE has further stated that it does not award second or third division to students.

This year, more than 24,000 class 12 students received scores above 95 per cent, while more than 1.16 lakh received scores above 90 per cent. Notably, Girls have yet again surpassed boys, this time around by more than 6.40 per cent with over 91 per cent of girls passing tests. Girls have recorded a pass percentage of 91.52 per cent while the pass percentage among boys is 85.12 per cent. This year, transgenders have recorded a pass percentage of 50 per cent.
The percentage for the class 12 CBSE result 2024 has been revealed region-wise. With 99.91 per cent, Trivandrum is the region with the highest per forming students, followed by Vijayawada with 99.04 per cent and Chennai with 98.47 per cent.
This year, the CBSE 12th exams were held from February 15 to April 2. A total of over 39 lakh students from India and 26 other countries appeared for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams.
As per the CBSE passing criteria for Class 12 exams, students need to secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks to pass in a particular subject. This translates to at least 23 marks out of 70 in the Class 12 exams.
Last year, over 14 lakh students appeared for the class 12 exams, achieving an overall pass percentage of 87.33 per cent. The pass percentage for female candidates stood at 90.68 per cent, whereas boys achieved a pass percentage of 84.67 per cent.

Step 1: Open the official website of CBSE i.e. cbse.nic.in.
Step 2: Locate and click on the “CBSE 12th Result 2024” link on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter the required information such as your roll number and registration number. Then, click on submit.
Step 4: Your CBSE 12th mark sheet will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Check carefully and download the result.
Step 6: Be sure to print out the mark sheet for future reference.
