The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the BPSC 70th Notification PDF 2024. It has increased its number of openings from 1,929 to 1,957 in various departments in September. Now, once again, it has been revised. The Commission has again increased the number of vacant posts to 2,027. Now that the Commission has added 70 new vacancies, it has informed that online applications for the same will be accepted till November 4 for 2027 positions of level nine and seven in 27 departments instead of 24. The BPSC Secretary-cum-Examination Controller, Satya Prakash Sharma said that online application can be done by visiting the commission’s website www.bpsc.bih.nic.in. The link for amendments in the application form or OTR will be active from October 19. It is to be noted that candidates must submit the form with amendments by November 4.

BPSC’s 70th combined competitive (preliminary) examination is likely to be held on December 13 and 14. As per the Commission, after the notification issued on September 23, requisition has been received for 35 posts of Probation Officer in the Home Department (Prisons), 29 posts of Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies and equivalent in Cooperative Department and 6 posts of Financial Administrative Officer and equivalent in Finance Department. In this way, 70 posts of Level 9 have been increased.

How many vacancies for SDM in Bihar?

In the 70th combined competitive examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission, there are 200 vacancies for Sub-Divisional Officer/Senior Deputy Collector (SDM) in the Bihar Administrative Service. For Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), there are 136 vacancies in the Bihar Police Service. Apart from this, there are 287 vacancies for Revenue Officers in the Bihar Revenue Service and 393 vacancies for Rural Development Officers in the Bihar Rural Development Service.

The registration fee for the General, Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and candidates from other states is Rs 600, while Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons With Disability (PWD) candidates need to pay Rs 150. It is important to note that all fees should be paid online via the BPSC portal.
