Mumbai Indians scripted a comeback in the ongoing edition of the IPL winning three of their previous four games after losing the first three on the trot. They will now be eager to continue the momentum by avenging the six-wicket loss against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium earlier this season. The Hardik Pandya-led side have moved up to seventh position on the IPL 2024 points table. A win on Monday could see them climb up even higher, which means that they still have playoffs in their sights. They head into this game on the back of a nine-run win over Punjab Kings in Mullanpur, Mohali.
Rajasthan Royals, meanwhile, have appeared to be a sublime force and have been clinical in every department. The IPL 2008 champions will look to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the playoffs by doing the double over Mumbai Indians in Jaipur.
Jos Buttler helped Rajasthan Royals stage an improbable victory by scoring an unbeaten 107 in their previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders, which took place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Rajasthan Royals equalled their own record for the highest successful run chase in IPL history, chasing 224 runs and clinching an unbelievable victory on the final ball of the contest. With that win, Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the table with 12 points from seven games. A win on Monday evening will all but seal their passage to the IPL 2024 playoffs.
