Here's a look at a few of the highlights that show just how diverse the vehicles that get put up for sale at this fabulous event can be.

If you're a fan of classic, exotic, rare or sometimes pretty ridiculous cars, the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona is definitely the place to be. The latest running of this world-famous auction ended on Sunday, so here's a look at a few of the highlights that show just how diverse the vehicles that get put up for sale at this fabulous event can be.

But that wasn't even close to being the highest-grossing vehicle at the auction. Although there were no non-charity vehicles going for several millions of dollars this time around, a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder did fetch $1.43 million to take the honor of being the most expensive car sold at the event not raising money for charity.

Not far behind the Porsche hybrid hypercar was a 1952 Ferrari 212 Europa, and a 1965 Corvette Stingray Coupe, both of which saw the hammer fall on them for a cool $1.1 million.

To show just how sought-after the new 2018 Dodge Demon is going to be, a brand new example that was only delivered three days previously and was unprepared went for $159,500. It was a highly optioned model, but even so, it gave its owner a decent profit as the Demon starts from just over $86k from a dealer, if you can get one of course.
