After successfully launching the world’s first CNG bike Freedom 125 in India, the top two-wheeler giant Bajaj seems like on route to introducing another trim in the country. It is expected to be an entry-level trim, which will cost less compared to the Freedom 125.
It has been reported that the company is gearing up to improve its CNG bike range. It is trying to attract new customers by offering multiple trims in the segment. However, the brand is yet to share official details about the same.
Here’s What to Expect
Ahead of the official launch, a test mule was spied during the testing phase and has revealed a few important elements about the bike. As per the leaks, the trim was spotted with some noticeable modifications, aiming to cut down the price range and make it less costly in the future.
Design
The CNG bike is expected to carry the same style statement as the Freedom 125. It will feature the same single seating arrangement, carrying the CNG cylinder under the seat and a boxy handle with multiple control switches on it.
Cost-Cutting
It is expected to get an identical headlight setup and a similar tail section. The brand might ditch all the LED treatments, and replace them with a halogen setup. The spy images did not show any disc brakes at the front. It means customers can expect normal brakes on either end.
Engine and Power
The bike is likely to use a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that will churn out a maximum power of 9.4 BHP and 9.7 Nm of peak torque. The unit will be complemented by a 2 kg CNG cylinder and a 2-litre petrol tank, offering impressive efficiency.
