Harry-Meghan Pair Kept In Dark About Kate's Cancer Diagnosis Due to 'Lack of Trust': UK Royal Expert

The Princess of Wales last week disclosed her battle with cancer in an emotional video message, putting to rest a storm of speculation ignited by her prolonged absence. Kate’s statement via a video message triggered an outpouring of support from well-wishers.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were reportedly kept in the dark about Kate’s condition, also reached out. The show of support left many wondering why the estranged Royal pair were not informed earlier. According to a report by The Sun newspaper, the decision to withhold information from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stemmed from a lack of trust.
“There’s a deep rift between the brothers… they’ve caused endless problems to the royal family and so they can’t be trusted,” Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams asserted. This rift, Fitzwilliams suggested, was exacerbated by Harry and Meghan’s recent ventures, including lucrative deals with Netflix and Oprah Winfrey, which raised questions about their commitment to royal concerns.
Phil Dampier a royal author, echoed this sentiment, noting that Harry and Meghan were not high on William and Kate’s list of priorities. “The Sussexes weren’t told about it because the relationship between William and Harry is at an all-time low,” he was quoted as saying by The Sun.

The revelation comes amid a flurry of social media activity, with individuals connected to Harry and Meghan casting doubt on the authenticity of Kate’s diagnosis. Christopher Bouzy, known for his association with the Sussexes and their Netflix show, sparked controversy by suggesting Kate’s illness was staged, akin to “North Korean propaganda.” Omid Scobie, another ally of the Sussexes, faced backlash for a tasteless post related to the timing of Kate’s announcement.
Meanwhile, Kate stressed the importance of privacy and family support during her treatment. In her video message, she expressed gratitude for the outpouring of well-wishes and reassured her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, that she is on the path to recovery. “I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body, and spirits,” Kate declared, reflecting on her journey towards recovery.
