Gunfire erupted near the Vancouver residence of singer-rapper AP Dhillon on Monday. Canadian authorities are currently investigating a video that allegedly captured the shooting.
Preliminary reports have pointed to involvement of the gang led by Goldy Brar, a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who murdered another singer, Sidhu Moosewala and was declared a designated terrorist by the Centre under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The Canada-based gangster whose real name is Satinder Singh Brar, is also associated with Babbar Khalsa International, a terrorist organisation. Brar is a resident of Brampton and went to Canada in 2017 on a student visa.
CNN-News18 cannot independently confirm the developments. AP Dhillon was unavailable for comment regarding his involvement or presence during the incident.
