Alexander Zhadan, a Russian citizen, took to social media site X to claim that artificial intelligence (AI) assisted him in meeting and advancing his relationship with the woman to whom he is married.

Zhadan in his post revealed that he has used ChatGPT to run a Tinder bot that matched him with over 5,000 women on the app. In his social media post, he said he proposed to the girl with whom he matched after ChatGPT spoke to her on his behalf for a year. He also made several variations of the ChatGPT bot.
He claimed to find that one woman, the bot that he created, matched him and communicated on behalf of him with 5,239 girls whom he had met up with. In the thread, the 23-year-old said ChatGPT scheduled six dates a day for him. He took a break from it as he found his fiancee, Karina.
“When Karina and I met live, I realised that it was possible to stop this system, and retrained her as an analyst of correspondence with Karina,” Zhadan said.
The AI bot removed bad matches and also made “small talk on his behalf”. “I gave ChatGPT information about how I communicate. At first, there were problems because the program didn’t know me, it could write some kind of nonsense, but later I trained it to such an extent that it began to interact with girls like me,” Zhadan further added.
There were also certain filters he installed which would show him women with whom he can continue correspondence. He said ChatGPT kept instructing him where to go for a date and what to say in a situation.
“I gave ChatGPT information about how I communicate. At first, there were problems because the program didn’t know me, it could write some kind of nonsense, but later I trained it to such an extent that it began to interact with girls like me,” Zhadan was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The woman, Karina, however, was unaware of the role ChatGPT played in her relationship with Zhadan. She first found out about it when they both submitted their applications to the registry office. Zhadan says his now-wife reacted in a calm manner after finding out.
