Winter brings with it a serene beauty as delicate snowflakes blanket the world in pristine white, turning landscapes into enchanting scenes. The joy of building snowmen, engaging in friendly snowball fights, and sipping hot cocoa by a warm fire adds a layer of warmth to the cold season. However, beneath the picturesque scenes, some challenges come with the onset of winter. One such situation recently occurred in Northern China which shows that while the initial allure of snow may be delightful, snowfall demands both appreciation and preparedness. In a recent viral video circulating on social media, people witness a remarkable scene that captures university students navigating their way through a snowstorm on a college campus.

As the camera rolls, we see several students, covered in layers of clothes and carrying bags, facing the challenges posed by the snow-laden pathways. Some ingeniously repurpose their umbrellas as makeshift shields against the biting cold wind, while others grapple with the sheer force of the storm, finding them occasionally swept off their feet.

The video quickly gained traction on various social media platforms, where users lauded the students for their unwavering spirit and determination. The social media buffs also resonated with the resilience displayed by these individuals.

The video also sparked a wave of memes and genuine concern for the students. One viewer humorously remarked, “Skiing to campus is kinda cool.” Another suggestion in the comment stated, “At that point, just stay home.”

An observer humorously pointed out, “All those bare hands holding the rail as they go down the stairs!”

While winter may have caught them off guard, these students have transformed it into a season etched in memory. One commentator cleverly noted, “The power of 75% attendance,” alluding to the mandatory attendance requirements in certain universities.

“The wind is really strong, that is one day we experienced like Kenal pushed by the wind when we were walking to the market near the riverside,” a student shared their firsthand experience.

According to CNN, Beijing recently marked its lengthiest recorded cold wave since 1951. The biting cold temperatures and considerable snowfall, which gripped the Chinese capital and other regions, are gradually subsiding. As per the Beijing Daily, the Nanjiao weather station in Beijing recorded temperatures rising above zero degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) on Sunday afternoon, breaking the prolonged sub-zero streak that persisted for more than 300 hours since December 11.
