Watch: Man Grabs Kangaroo By Its Throat And Pushes It Backwards

Kangaroos are large animals with powerful hind legs who can balance their entire body with their tail. They have sharp claws and can deliver powerful kicks which can result in serious injuries. These marsupials are stronger than humans in almost every aspect as they can attack if they feel attacked, cornered or provoked.

Hence, it is generally advised to never engage with a kangaroo and especially not pick a fight with one. However, there are a few videos which show otherwise. An old video has resurfaced on the internet where a man can be seen engaged in a low-intense fight with a young kangaroo. It is proof of why you should never mess with a wild animal, especially a kangaroo.

An old video has gone viral again which shows a man dressed in a black polo t-shirt, denim jeans and a cap fighting a kangaroo. He can be seen holding its neck and even kicking it while trying to defend himself. But the internet is offended. The clip is from a zoo where a kangaroo tries to pounce on a man.

Defensively, he used his leg to stop the marsupial from advancing on him and grabbed it by the throat while pushing the animal back. But the kangaroo was not giving up and continued with the kicks. It is not clear if the human and the animal are engaged in a playful fight or if the marsupial is actually attacking the man. But both look unharmed.

The caption of the clip reads, “Kangaroo fight with a man”. The post has garnered more than 2 million views on Instagram. One accused the man and wrote, “This man did something to make this kangaroo react like this, these people should respect them, they only ask you to respect their space.” Another commented, “Dude, don’t hit him (kangaroo).” One more wrote, “Not good… Taunting an animal for “fun”.

Reportedly, the man in the video was trying to protect a woman who was getting frisked by the animal. In a bid to save her, he stepped in and the animal’s attention turned towards him. Later, the staff member intervened which finally led the animal to crouch down and back off.

This is the actual video which went viral last year. It is from Perth Zoo and the man is an American tourist.
