A video has gone viral recently. In the video, it can be observed that a couple, who bought a new house that was built in 1950 discovered a unique mini door built on the wall. The video was shared by a woman named Angelina from her Instagram account, showcasing this unique masterpiece. In the video, Angelina explains the things she and her husband found in their 1950s home during its renovation. While renovating the house, she removed the wall paints, after which she saw original wallpapers underneath the paint with a beautiful sober design. She claims that there were numerous layers of paint to remove and this room went through a lot of different phases. Though the couple loved the wallpaper, it was brittle and degraded and a majority of it was not salvageable.
While eliminating the floor carpet, the couple also discovered hardwood floors. It took them a week but they were able to restore the 74-year-old floors throughout the house. The most surprising part is when they discovered a small door made in the kitchen wall. It was a milk door, from where milkmen used to deliver milk jugs in the 1950s. The door was duct taped shut when they bought the house and they did not realise what it was initially.
Later after opening the door the couple found a milk jug from 1949 in the crawl space under the house. The couple cleaned up the milk jug and restored it to the milk door.
The couple mentioned that though the house is not perfect, they like it the way it is. After being completely renovated, the house looked beautiful.
The video was shared with the caption, “Here are a few things we found in our 1950s home renovation!”. The clip has garnered 1.1 million views. Though many of them praised and appreciated the house, others have also advised how to renovate it as well.
