On India’s 78th Independence Day, a video from Kerala went viral, featuring a bird helping to hoist the national flag. The footage shows people hoisting the flag and singing the national anthem. Initially, it appeared that the flag got stuck at the top, but then a bird assisted them and disengaged the flag. This moment left the internet delighted, as many viewers believed it was a sign of divine intervention. However, a follow up video revealed a different story. Social media users who examined the video more closely discovered that the bird actually landed in a tree behind the flagpole.

In the video, it appeared like the bird helped hoist the flag and then flew away. However, from a new angle, it became clear that the bird did not approach the flagpole at all. The bird’s appearance was a pure coincidence. Sharing the video on X, the user wrote, “Kerala – National Flag got stuck at the top while hoisting. A bird came from nowhere and unfurled it.”

Reacting to the video, a user wrote, “The bird must be a reincarnated spirit of patriot.”

Another shared, “That sounds like a beautiful and symbolic moment! Nature stepping in to help during such a significant event must have felt magical. It’s moments like these that make ceremonies even more memorable.”

However, not everyone was convinced, as many argued that the camera angle created an illusion and in reality, the bird was just sitting in the tree behind.

An individual shared, “The bird simply perched on the branch and then flew away. It didn’t unfurl the flag; the camera angle created that illusion.”

One more added, “Bird came and sat on the tree behind the flag, nothing to do with the unfurling of the flag. Stop sharing fake information.”

Debunking the divine intervention claims, a person shared a different angle of the video that clearly showed the bird didn’t hoist the national flag.
