A video circulating on social media purportedly showing Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, dancing to the beats of ‘Kala Chashma’ at a wedding function raised eyebrows among users. Clad in a white kurta and dhoti, he effortlessly danced in a way that defied expectations. However, reality revealed a different story – the video, initially captioned ‘Rajasthan CM’ and shared by @life_dairy_0.1 on Instagram, was debunked as a case of ‘mistaken identity.’
Setting the record straight in the comments, Ashwani Meena, the individual featured in the footage, and a government servant, clarified, “Brothers, this is me, I am a government servant brother.” The revelation prompted varied reactions from the public. One supporter defended, “Along with the Chief Minister, he is also a human, he also wants to enjoy,” while another added, “What is the problem, CM is also human and he also has the right to enjoy, the woman he confronted said sorry to him…”

Nonetheless, to dispel any lingering rumours, Meena posted another video on his account, affirming that the dance performance was his and not the CM’s. He captioned the post with, “I have never thought about politics. Still made me CM directly. Don’t spread such rumours, brother! I will tell you when I will become one.”

This incident recalls a past viral video featuring an individual who bore a strong resemblance to Prime Minister Narendra Modi participating in a garba dance. Initially, doubts were cast on the video’s authenticity, with speculation about deepfake technology. Prime Minister Modi himself expressed skepticism. However, it was later clarified that the video was not a result of deepfake technology but rather a case of mistaken identity and false reporting, as reported by TOI.
