The hyper-realistic artworks are here to test the limits. We cannot help but be in awe of this illusionistic art. It also calls for a great deal of patience and innate skill. After all, it is not a simple task to create anything that looks real. When seen through a digital medium, these artworks cannot be distinguished from the originals. Not only is the result of artists’ efforts astounding but so is the creative process. Recently, a video went viral on social media showing an artist making a hyper-real moon.
The video, uploaded on Instagram, shows an artist using cement to create a hyper-real moon. First, the artist applies cement on a wall in the shape of a moon. He then goes on to create the many round holes and craters that the real moon possesses. Upon completion, he applies a moon-like spray paint finish, creating an effect akin to an enlarged image of the moon in space.

Nowadays, many artists are experimenting in this field. An Indian artist gained popularity last year with his incredibly lifelike 3D artwork. Rahil Jindran demonstrated his extraordinary talent in his reel, “Art is a power,” by carefully creating hyperrealistic paintings of Indian notes with pencil colours.
What had the internet talking was his degree of accuracy and focus on detail in capturing the light, shadows and textures. In addition, there are incredibly lifelike paintings in his video of steel glass, lipstick, a transparent glass of water, a deck of cards and other objects.

Another similar video showed a woman drawing a basic three-dimensional picture on the road with expertise. The drawing resembled a well and gave the impression of depth. In the video, two ladies also attempted to playfully pull water from it.
