Indian YouTuber Alleges 'Scam' By Ola Driver 'Crying' For Help, Internet Agrees
YouTuber Anisha Dixit recounts unsettling encounter with an Ola driver who cried uncontrollably for help, shares viral video.

Anisha Dixit, the renowned YouTuber, recently took to Instagram to share an intriguing tale of her encounter with an Ola driver who, as she described it, “cried repeatedly” during their taxi ride. Recounting the incident, Dixit revealed how she experienced something peculiar and felt the need to alert everyone about similar dubious occurrences around them. She began by expressing uncertainty about whether the driver was genuinely distressed or attempting to scam people like her with his actions.

In the video, Dixit covertly recorded the driver, who continuously expressed thoughts of suicide. While she tried to calm him down from behind the camera, the driver persisted in expressing his anguish, intermittently reassuring her not to complain about him but then reverting to saying, “I don’t mind even if you complain, I am anyway going to commit suicide.” According to Dixit, the ordeal started when she booked a ride from her home in Bandra, and as soon as she entered the Ola cab, the driver began sobbing uncontrollably.

He informed Dixit that he had recently lost his father and had also been robbed of his wallet just an hour ago, preventing him from travelling to his village. Dixit couldn’t help but notice the driver’s desperate gaze fixated on her through the rearview mirror, reflecting a neediness for money.

Perplexed by the situation, Dixit requested a brief halt to make an urgent call to her husband. “The moment I stepped out of the car, it sped away,” she recounted.

Suspecting foul play, Dixit shared the video on her IG handle, expressing discomfort and urging awareness about this potential scam: “It really made me feel uncomfortable and if this really is a SCAM to get a big amount of money out of Passengers then its Very Important that I share this and make people aware about this new scam.”

Soon, the video grabbed attention and many agreed that something similar had happened to them as well.

“Scam. I found the same rickshaw guy twice telling the same story,” remarked Abhi and Niyu. “I gave 8k to this guy!!! I recognise his voice! He wasn’t loud or anything. He was very subtly crying to himself when I asked him if he’s okay..he told me his son has an operation the next day and he’s been driving for 2 days straight to collect the money! He’s a good actor! I got SCAMMED.. NOOOO,” lamented actress Radhika Bangia.

“OH MY GOD I WENT IN A CAB WITH THIS EXACT GUY,” exclaimed actress Anjali Sivaraman.

While Ola has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, the video has garnered significant attention, amassing approximately 6 million views on the platform since its posting.
