Ranveer Singh To Romance 19-Yr-Old Sara Arjun In Aditya Dhar's Film? Fans REACT To 20-Yr Age Gap

Ranveer Singh previously announced his next big film with Aditya Dhar. The untitled film boasts a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal. Now, a Peeping Moon report claims that 19-year-old Sara Arjun has been cast as Ranveer’s love interest in the film.

The report mentioned, “Although her role is said to be relatively small in this male-dominated story, this film marks her transition to a lead heroine after years of being known as a child actress in Hindi and Telugu cinema.” Sara was seen as young Aishwarya Rai in Ponniyin Selvan.

However, Ranveer and Sara’s 20-year age gap has miffed netizens. Ranveer Singh is 39 years old while Sara is currently 19. One person wrote, “She was 5 years old when Band Baaja Baarat released.” Another wrote, “Eww 39 year old romancing a teenager!?? How did they think this was ok.” One comment read, “Omg!! She is still a kid in my eyes. I know heroines usually start in 19 or 20… but it feels odd.” Another person wrote, “Times have changed. I’m really happy that people are calling this out.” However, it must be noted that this casting has not been confirmed yet by the makers.

As for the film, it is produced by Jyoti Deshpande from Jio Studios along with Lokesh Dhar and Aditya Dhar under their banner B62 Studios. This follows their recent super hit collaboration “Article 370”.  Principal shooting for this giant theatrical presentation went underway in July. Ranveer Singh is set to resume shooting in November after completing a successful month-long first schedule in Thailand.

According to the film’s team, Ranveer is expected to deliver a statement performance under Aditya Dhar’s direction. Ranveer shared the big news on his Instagram handle in July and wrote, “This one is for my fans, who have been so patient with me, and been clamouring for a turn like this. I love you all, and I promise you, this time, a cinematic experience like never before. With your blessings, we embark on this great, big motion picture adventure with spirited energy and pure intent. This time, it’s personal.”
