Indian Biryani Or South African Biryani? This Content Creator Has The Answer
Every state has its own way of making biryani with its own blend of spices and masalas. Be it a formal gathering or an informal meeting with friends, a big bowl of biryani always suffices.

Biryani is one of the most popular dishes among Indian food enthusiasts. Every state has its own way of making biryani with its own blend of spices and masalas. Be it a formal gathering or an informal meeting with friends, a big bowl of biryani always suffices. Even though India’s biryani tops the list, have you ever tasted biryanis from the rest of the world? Recently, a video has been going viral where a popular food content creator can be seen comparing biryanis from India and South Africa. But what caught the attention of viewers was his humourous way of explaining things.

A video has been uploaded on Instagram by actor, comedian and food content creator Pushpek Sidhu, where he can be seen comparing the Indian biryani with the South African dish. But it is important to note here that the South African dish is not biryani but Peri Peri chicken rice, which is full of desi flavours.

In the video, Pushpek Sidhu can be seen holding two bowls of rice, one from India and the other from South Africa. He begins by saying, “Indian biryani versus South African biryani — which one is better? Have to find out” and starts eating the Indian biryani.

He begins by taking the bite of the Indian biryani, and while appreciating its flavours and spices, he says, “Wonderful. It is great. Heavenly.”. After having it, he rates the Indian biryani 9 out of 10. Soon, he moves to the South African dish and is really impressed with its taste as well. He says, “I am not going to lie, it is really good. South Africans really know how to season their food.” While rating it, he gave 8.5/10 to the South African dish. However, the classic Indian biryani emerges as a clear winner.

The video was uploaded with a caption, “India Biryani vs. South African Biryani.” After the clip was shared, many of the users went to the comments section to appreciate the creator’s sense of humour and funny facial expressions while shooting the video. One of the users said, “Bro is slowly becoming Indian, eating Biryani with a hand.” Another user wrote, “The Indian one is always on top. This opinion can’t be changed.”

So far, the viral biryani video has received more than 9 lakh views on Instagram.
