District Collector of Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh IAS Shudhir Kumar Kochar has been in the news for his strict action to eradicate the irregularities in the education system of the state. He has suspended many teachers for ignorance of duty.
The District collector visits different schools in the district once a week to inspect the conditions of the school and the teaching and non-teaching staff. Recently, he visited a school and suspended around 13 teachers for irregularities in their duties.
District Collector Shudhir Kumar visited the Government CM Rise School in Jabera on Monday to inspect the facilities of the school. According to reports, summer camps are presently being held at different Government CM Rise Schools around the district. As he reached the school he was greeted by various cultural performances by the students of the state.
He said, “There are many talented students here. I loved spending time with the kids. Students are very much creative here including students from lower classes. I enjoyed the dance performance by the students along with the other art forms that the students showcased.”
The District Collector also inspected the ongoing construction work at the school. He spoke with the officials and instructed them to complete the work within the promised timespan. In an interview with Local 18, IAS Shudhir Kumar said, “I closely inspected the ongoing construction work of the new building. I spoke with the officials who are placed to oversee the work and pointed out the future challenges that may come along the way. I have also advised some changes and instructed them to complete the construction work within the due time.”
“The officials informed me that the work is going according to the planned tenure. They also mentioned that the work is going on at a good pace and may get completed before the planned date,” he added.
