In another example of eccentric wedding festivities, a groom in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur made an eye-catching attempt to reach the wedding venue in style. The photo of the incident went viral on the internet. In the photo, the groom dressed in traditional wedding attire, was seen standing regally atop an SUV, resembling a statue, on what appeared to be a national highway.

Following this attention-grabbing display, the police authorities intervened and seized the car.

According to the reports, the wedding procession was led by an individual named Ankit, from Bhaila village in Saharanpur to his bride’s house in Kushawali village in Meerut.

“We got information about a video of a groom performing a stunt on the roof of the car. The baraat was stopped on NH-58 by the Mansoorpur police and the car has been seized. Further investigation is underway,” Khatauli Circle Officer, Yatendra Singh Nagar said.
