Did You Know Flight Attendants Have Code Names For Passengers They Like?
While looking through the pamphlets to see what you can get on board, you might hear the name “Bob,” which could mean that a flight attendant has developed feelings for you.

While they may be in charge of making sure a packed plane is safe, secure, and comfortable, flight attendants still find time to chat with the people they like on the flight. Cabin crews have had to become creative since, as I’m sure you can understand, there aren’t many private places on a flight where they can talk about which passenger has caught their attention.

Stewards and stewardesses supposedly devise a secret language to communicate with to make sure that their whispers are not heard by the general public. Therefore, there’s a good chance that the cabin crew is speaking in code if you hear them say something odd while they’re making sure the overhead lockers are locked.

And we have some insider knowledge of the jargon used by airline staff to talk to passengers while thousands of feet in the air, due to the late Owen Beddall, a Qantas, Australian Airlines, steward. After publishing his autobiography Confessions of a Qantas Flight Attendant in 2014, he became popular for disclosing both the inner workings of the company and the antics of several famous passengers.

The Australian writer, who passed away in 2016, provided people with a glimpse into the inner workings of a flight and how the crew conveys their feelings for one another.

For instance, hearing the name “Bob” while looking through the pamphlets to see what you may purchase while on board might mean that a flight attendant has developed feelings for you. It means “best on board,” according to Beddall, and stewards and stewardesses use it to alert their peers to the presence of a visually appealing passenger.

While this may differ from airline to airline, it appears that every crew member has a made-up lexicon to express their allure to a gullible passenger.

Before this, a flight attendant named LJ disclosed the normal course of a “Cockpit Convo” among cabin crew members and how they subtly expressed their feelings for each other. She revealed that her colleagues covered up their conversations with another secret code to reveal information on the most alluring tourists.

Therefore, chances are good that someone would be interested in exchanging numbers with you if you overhear an odd conversation about a guy named Bob or about what the crew is having for tea that evening.

What's your reaction?
