One of the most high-paying Hollywood stars and a popular figure on social media, Dwayne Johnson, best known as The Rock, has got his name registered in Guinness World Records. After starting his career in WWE, Dwayne made a transition to Hollywood and has worked in several successful films like Fast & Furious, Jumanji, Fighting With My Family, and Black Adam, among others. Adding another feather to his cap, Dwayne Johnson has become the most-followed actor on TikTok.
Not just that, he is now also the most followed American man in the world. With these records to his name, the actor shared a gratitude-filled note for his fans on Instagram.
“Cool stuff setting a @guinnessworldrecords. Most Followed Actor on TikTok and Most Followed American Man in the World. Not too bad for a pimply face kid with an afro who grew up to become famous only for wearing a fanny pack and raising an eyebrow,” he wrote.
Further, Johnson listed out the “key” to having real power and influence on social media, asserting that one should speak directly, be real, authentic, kind, good to people, and share both good and bad lessons. “Laugh at yourself. Don’t get pulled into negative sludge, and never contribute to toxicity. Laugh at yourself some more. And always remember the golden rule – It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice,” he added.
Along with the post, Dwayne also shared a video, including clips from his popular TikTok videos. It features his hilarious antics, time spent with his daughter, everyday candid moments, and some funny events with his close friend, Kevin Hart.
Dwayne Johnson achieved the title of the most-followed TikToker after knocking out fellow actor Will Smith, who had held the record since 2022. In 2015, ‘The Rock’ became the first person to break the record for taking the most self-portrait photographs (105) in three minutes. The record is now held by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar.
Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming projects
The Hollywood star is all set to return with Moana 2 wherein he reprises the role of Maui, a super-strong and mystical demigod. The actor recently shared pictures of himself recording for the film, adding that he has wrapped up the project.
Besides, he also has The Smashing Machine, based on former wrestler Mark Kerr.
