The video shows him struggling to come out of a shallow, muddy pond, as one person pushes him from behind while two others attempt to pull him out from the front. Despite the challenges posed by the wet mud, Along eventually emerges from the water, expressing gratitude to those who helped him.
He goes on to pull a chair and rest for a while after being rescued.
Since its posting, the clip has garnered significant traction, amassing almost 33,000 likes so far. The engagement extends beyond mere views, with users expressing admiration for Along’s relatable demeanor and down-to-earth persona.
In 2022, the Global New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) introduced updated protocols to assess the safety standards of cars manufactured in India. Despite the existence of India’s own car testing program, Bharat NCAP, many vehicles on the market undergo testing through Global NCAP’s ‘Safest Cars For India’ initiative.
Getting back to his recently viral video, comments flooded in, praising him for his authenticity and warmth, with a user saying, “We need politicians like him in our country. Watching this video, not for a second will you feel he’s one of the biggest politicians in India. Instead, you’ll feel like a common man enjoying with his people. Such a down-to-earth leader he is Along Imna”.
“Looks like you need to do this more often,” said a follower while another viewer called him “the best” in the comments.
Moreover, Imna Along’s engagement extends beyond politics and safety advocacy. Last year, he shared a heartwarming gesture, gifting locally sourced organic produce to Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone’s parents, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone. This thoughtful gesture not only showcased his appreciation for Indian cinema but highlighted Nagaland’s unique local-agricultural offerings, further solidifying his connection with the people he serves.
