According to the report of The Sun website, in April 2021, the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities said in a statement that they have discovered an ancient city named Rise of Aten. This city was built about 3000 years ago during the reign of King Amenhotep III. Archaeologists discovered streets within the city lined by houses, surrounded by walls reaching up to 10 feet tall. Inside these structures, they found rooms containing various tools and artefacts used in daily life, left behind by the ancient inhabitants as if time had stood still. Among the discoveries were rings, colourful pottery vessels, moulds for crafting amulets, containers for transporting meat, as well as implements for spinning, weaving, and crafting metal and glass.

Tomb of King Tutankhamen

Tutankhamen is considered to be the most famous pharaoh of Egypt who ruled 3 thousand years ago, between 1332 to 1323 BC. He was only 10 years old when he assumed the throne. Howard Carter led the excavation team that unearthed Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922. The tomb’s abundance of treasures and striking artefacts captivated the media, making it the most renowned discovery in the field of Egyptology. The sudden death of Carter’s benefactor, the Earl of Carnarvon, during the excavation fueled speculation about a curse associated with the tomb.
